The Weather Mechanism inside the clock is powered by standard 'off-the-shelf' D-Cell batteries. These might need replacing each year, depending on how much the 'demonstration button' on the bottom of the clock is pressed.
The clock hands are kept moving (with no loud ticking!) by a standard AA battery, also inserted in the back of the clock.
All the batteries you need are, of course, included with the clock when delivered.
