If you have a clock that needs to be taken down off the wall for a while we recommend the following:

- Always turn the clock off at the switch and remove the battery for the clock hands when you take it down from the wall

- If the clock is to be stored for any length of time, store it stood up, as if it is still on the wall when inside its box. Only for short time periods of time (less than a day), should the clock be allowed to lie on its back.

- To protect the clock from damage, use the box it came in, or other packing that simply prevents knocks or scratches

- If your clock came with one inserted, do NOT ever try to reinsert the 'transport lock' pin that will have been removed when starting the clock for the very first time. Doing so will damage the internal mechanism and invalidate your warranty

- If the clock requires transporting anywhere to be stored, ensure it is handled with care. Do NOT send it in the post as this will most likely result in severe damage
